8800 Size matters?

I wanted to know how much longer is the GTX and Ultra versions compared to the GTS models?

An extra 1 or 1.5 inches...they are wider too.

dam im going to have to get creative in order to step up to a higher model, I don't think my mid-tower can fit an extra inch or two without running into my drive bays.

On top of that as you need to plug the PCI-E power cables into the front of both you need room for that too. I would say at least an extra 3" would be needed at minimum.

Are there any 8800 series cards with the power connectors along the top of the card?

I think this will help explain what I mean. I mean its on the side of the care but up front. It was a poor choice of words on my part.

For a nicer cable management I would want that extra room.

(In those Pic's is a NZXT Zero case with a 8800GTX it barely fits)

I just noticed I didn't really answer your question.

8800GTX & 8800 Ultra are 11 inches long.

8800GTS is 9 inches long.

Thats if i remember right.
