I'm finding bits and pieces that lead me to believe this could be a driver issue, but must consult the gurus...
Just upgraded system with an EVGA 8800GTX and Samsung 204B. Installed monitor driver from Samsung website. Installed 97.02 Forceware. Installed Ntune. Clocked GTX to 620/920. Ran 3DMark06 and scored 10,025. Everything seemed fine.
After a few minutes, LCD starts blanking out and coming back. Dropped GTX to stock. Uninstalled Ntune. Still blanking out. Uninstalled 97.02, ran driver cleaner, installed 96.89, same issue.
Experimented and lowered resolution from 1600x1200 to 1280x1024 and issue goes away. Adjust back to 1600x1200, starts blanking out immediatly. The Samsung 204B is a 20.1" 1600x1200 monitor. Not sure what to make of it. Haven't tried gaming yet. PSU was powering SLI 7900 GTO's without a hickup. All components brand new. Fresh OS install.
Opinions?
*Edit* Ntune was locking up on auto detect settings, so flashed Asus P5NSLI to latest bios to see if that would help. I wonder if new bios is buggy?
