hey guys,
I'm interested in getting an 8800 GTS(512mb) to replace my ATI X1900XTX,but I noticed that the bus on the 8800 is PCI Express 2.0 !! is that something that would work with my EVGA 680SLI mobo? thanks

nope, it'll work fine. meaning...plug and play.

of course you should uninstall the drivers, run driver cleaner, put in new card, then install the newest nvidia drivers (or whatever ones you prefer).

edit: for specification.

PCIe 2.0 is backwards compatible on both ends, meaning PCIe 2.0 cards will work in PCIe 1.0/1.1 slots and PCIe 1.0/1.1 cards will work in PCIe 2.0 slots.

I have an EVGA 8800GT on a MSI P6N Diamond (680i chipset). Works without a hiccup.
