Hi all, just built a new system with specs listed below. Using 100.65 drivers under Vista. Problem is that when running F.E.A.R. with all settings maxed at 1680 X 1050 resolution I get 100% under 25fps using F.E.A.R.'s built in performance tester.

The question is for anyone with a setup similar to mine, what kind of F.E.A.R. performance do you get under XP (using built in tester)????

Two things I can recommend. Try the 101.41 betas, they're fastest in FEAR from what I've seen with my setup. Also, right-click on the game icon and set the game to run in WinXP compatibility mode. This second step might not increase your minimum fps, but it should increase your maximum. May not help the game any, but it'll bring your benchmarks back up to where it was (approx.) with WinXP.

Thanks! great suggestions...i have not activated vista yet on fear I might need to go back to XP...I don't mind a small difference but with my set up I expected to run at 1680X1050 with nearly all max settings..i only want to see a small pctg below 25fps

Tks..went from 0 % above 40fps to 58% with the new drivers..unfortunatly, they still have not fixed the color settings. My settings won't stay (brightness, gamma) when I reboot...
