Should I get a gt now, or wait for the new gts coming on the 11th. Is the gts really that much faster? But i heard heating was a problem with the gt, and the gts comes with a dual slot fan, which should be better right?

It all depends on price... the new GTS is a little faster because of more SP, and its got a better cooling solution (so it should also over clock faster, be cooler, and quieter).

But the new GTS is gonna cost more, the only question is how much more, and would it be worth it to you. So far you can preorder the GTS from 350-450$.
I ordered a dell GT for 207$ two weeks ago and it is scheduled to ship Monday. but most places selling the GT want 280-340$ for it right now... so between a 340$ GT and 350$ GTS I would choose GTS. between a 300$ GTS and 210$ GT I Would choose GT. Between a 280$ GT and a 450$ GTS I Would choose GT...

All those aren't even taking into account the new, cheaper, 8800GT 256MB edition.

See its all a matter of price. One thing people are hoping is that with the new fan design implement for the GT, new shipments of it are en route and supply will be satiated and prices will go down again. And AMD is set to supposedly slash prices (which nvidia might follow).

Oh and right now it looks like the GTS is gonna be way overpriced... but if you want more the 8800GT without doing SLI of 8800Ultra for 1800$ then 2x 8800GTS 512 for 700-800 would get you very very lose to it.
