which is the better board
I like them both and they both fit my needs but what is the opinion on these:
ABIT IC7-MAX3
ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe

Are you going to be doing overclocking? The Abit would probably be a little better for that, based on convention

I highly disagree. The Asus P4C800-E is THE premiere 875P board in any circumstance, including overclocking.
