Considering this is Dubya's private war...would you pay up or tell him to deal with it...???

If it helps the conflict in Iraq end more quickly, and if it will be put to good use (as I so dearly hope), then I support it.

I don't think thier is any choice but to give him the money now. Like it or not, he has locked us into this and only time will tell what happens.

He's probably made at least that much money since he jacked up the oil prices when he took office. I think he should have to pay for the war.

He'll prob end up getting the money one way or another, but i think the money will go to poor use, everything he has asked for has gone to poor use. and there is no way he is getting my vote in the up coming election

I was in support of our two nations going to war back in the spring but all that has happened since has almost fully changed me around.

This is to help rebuild the countries of Iraq and Afghanistan....and to help get out troops out faster. Of course im all for congress passing it. If we don't help Iraq and Afghanistan rebuild, despite the idiot bombers, we will make them even more upset with us.

Considering you don't know anything about this war other than what you see on CNN, YOU DON'T KNOW JACK!

whats the point in rebuilding those countries? as soon as we rebuild it, some suicide bomber will come and blow the hell out of it. then we're back to square one and bush is askin us for 87 bil more!

What? How long did it take for Allied forces to defeat the Iraqi Army? What did you expect, 5 hours?

i remember hearing back in march (i remember it was march because i saw it while i was in spring break) when the war was just beginning that he said on cnn that it was going to be a quick victory. that we will have saddam and all his weapons soon. and look at where we are now.

man..if america and the world had adopted hydrogen fuel now, all those soldiers would not be dying everyday

no...we havent won anything yet. we're far from winning. if we had won already, more and more troops would not be dying everyday.

What has happened? Are you caving into all the media sensationalism? Taking over Iraq has been one of the most successful campaigns for that type of scale. Maybe we should have left Iraq alone so all the opressed people can live in misery until a decade from now Saddam had sold Al Qeada chemical weapons that were smuggled into the U.S. and released in Washington DC.

Consider the money an investment.

Yeah, all they report on is the bad stuff....and they hype it up to make it seem worse.

This is the first time during a conflict I have actually heard a report on it every morning. "Two more solders died today", "Another solder was killed", and if you pay attention to the way they phrase each sentence it's like "yep, ANOTHER one, see I told you so!". But the fact they can actually keep an accurate count like this, means that the kill rate is extremely LOW compared to any other war. Every death is a tragedy, but the soldiers being there is saving by far many more lives both for Iraq citizens and U.S. citizens as well as people around the world.

To deny that is to deny truth and sanity.

You do understand the difference in an army and individual commandos and barbarians. We've destroyed the army and set up a government in their land. There will be trouble makers for a long, long time. Everyone knew that, and everyone knows what Bush meant when we said victory. Except for you, it would seem.
