So whats the deal with the 8600 Ultra's?
Are they now the 8600gt's?
If thats true I thought they were going to be 256 Bit and 512MB ddr3??
Whats with the 128 bit and 256MB what the hell?
Or will they release the ultra's still later yet?
If not thats a huge let down for me I mean "Huge"!!
 
Latest leaked "roadmap" I saw showed a 512MB 256-bit 64 shader part designated as an 8900GS priced the same as a 320MB GTS, so I think any plans for a 256-bit 8600 part have been scrapped.

NV's new line-up looks to be pretty comprehensive, so I wouldn't expect too much in terms of performance without having to pay for it. Still, at $149 to $249 MSRP on the 8600 parts, there should be a pretty good price to performance aspect in that price range.

I new this kinda of thing would happen.
Looks like I will just get a 640MB 8800gts.
Or how soon will those 8900's be coming out?

no one knows. could be tomorrow, could be a week from now, could be the day R600 comes out. sometime in Q2 though, i would say june at the very, very latest.
