No answer from nvidia?
i doubt it
i hope NO ONE is buying a 8800/8600 DX 10 card for DX 10 games ... there aren't ANY
:Q
and who wants to stick a new PCIe2 card in a slot that holds it back?
True, I'm just sensible and don't make the big marketing decisions

. "They've got one? Then we've got to have one! No, two! Three, even! And bigger than theirs!" tit-for-tat marketing is pretty commonplace even when it doesn't make sense

. I didn't know that there were plans for the X1950XT on AGP, though. That's new to me and to be honest seems like they're just digging AGP out of its grave to get money from the last few stragglers that are interested in upgrading their graphics card but putting off a whole system rebuild (like, anyone with a socket 939 motherboard with AGP - if they're going to buy a new motherboard they'd go the whole hog and make it AM2 if they have sense...).
I think they should stop AGP living on borrowed time and pay more attention to PCI-E, especially bulking out their mid-range cards.
People buying with D3D10 in mind aren't buying because there are games using it out now, but because they can get the best DX9 performance now and be sure that when Crysis, UT2007, Halo 2 PC and the like finally come out that they're all set for total compatibility.
