It is amazing how much ram prices are dropping, and especially the good stuff. Usually buying direct from crucial is the most expensive way...but they keep cutting prices. I love it...I'm singin' in the ram, just singin' in the ram...

I think the difference in price is because I originally clicked on the 15% off on their main page for 1st time online shoppers.

You think they are trying to stay competitive or are they gearing up for the release of DDR?

Wow!!! I checked that about 4 hours ago and the price was $103!

Can't wait much longer. Gotta get some new ram. HeHe

p.s.s I just clicked on the "buy" button and it told me my price of $86.69 "reflected a 15% discount."

The first link here said it was $91 and some change and my link said it's $86.69 so the diff is about 5 dollars. I aint no rocket scientist but I know that is not a 15% discount.

Choices choices. Might still go with the Mushkin for $79 even though it's not CAS2.

Any one care to tell me why getting 2 128's is cheaper than getting 1 256? Does it make a difference?

Some people just wanna use up 1 slot for 256MB. Get 256 now, 256 in another month when the price drops some more.

I'm holding out for 256 sticks to drop into the 150 range then I'll pick one up.

Fanon, the original price of $91 reflects their original online %10 discount. If you use the %15 discount link it will drop the price down that extra %5.

I might have gotten this if I hadn't ordered some of the 128mb Mushkin PC133 budget RAM for $79(w/free Fedex shipping). I ordered it this morning and they already sent me an email telling me my RAM has shipped and my tracking number.

If you overclock you often have better results with only 1 or 2 slots used instead of 3 or 4. You will have a more stable machine at higher bus speeds with one dimm instead of 2.
