Will the 852 cpu's run in a dual board as wellor not i was made to understand that they would run in this board, as well as in a quad or octa board in 4 or 8 way setup. I am buying this board so just wanted to confirm that they would run in this. Thanks to all for help.
 
Thanks for the prompt reply i really appreciate it however will they work in the asus k8n-dl motherboard which is a dual board, sorry if i am repeating the question but i am really nervous about it . I know the 252 will work. i have some doubts about this since i have found no mention or reference to this anywhere.
 
the only opteron that will not work is a 152, as this is designed to work in stand alone mode, as it only has one HT link, tell a lie it will work but not with another processor (will not be able to communicate with it) as it will not recognise the other CPU.

where as the 252/852 will support this sort of operation, as it has more HT links for use with more opterons on one motherboard
