So I have the opportunity to get a Corsair TX850 for around 40 bucks new. V1 not V2. But I was leaning towards a 1000W for my new build. Will an 850W be ok running this:

i7 970
12 GB Ram
160GB SSD
2 X 1TB 7200RPM in Raid 0
2 Galaxy GTx 465
Blu-Ray combo drive
PCI sound card
USB 3.0 capture card
liquid cooled kit

What do you think. Some calclators say im fine with 740 some say I need 910.

850W is plenty; my question is why buy GTX465? I would recommend GTX460 or 560 instead. For the CPU do you need the extra cores? If not then 2600k is the way to go.

Bought 3 GTX 465s for 180, clearenced. Sold one so I have two that I got for free basically.

Im getting the chip through an Intel accomodation. I would get the 2600K except my 3.0 capture card only works with x58 based motherboards and the two cores/ four threads will help with video encoding/editing.

Its not a cookie cutter build but because of my work situation I have access to some pieces for extremely good prices.

So you guys think 850 is good? Would you do it?

Yes. I have an 850W for dual hexcore CPUs @ 4GHz plus GTX570.

Good deal on the GPUs!
