Im installing my 850hx and it has a 8-Pin EPS 12V. It also has 8-pin PCI-E connections.

It is my understanding I dont use the EPS 12V for anything other than motherboard connections?

It fits the 8 pin slot in my GPUs but i wanted to make sure that I cant use it for that.

thanks.

Pretty sure you shouldn't be using EPS for the PCIe graphics cards. And it shouldn't fit in the PCIe slots anyways.

Look at the two pins on the right. The square pin is on top for PCIe while it's on the bottom for EPS. Pin-out is also different. Just look at the wire colors.

Yes. Use the EPS 12v connector ONLY for the motherboard and the Pci-E connectors ONLY for the video card. You'll FUBAR the board and/or video card if you switch them around. (and probably your CPU as well since the EPS 12v connector is CPU power.)
