8500LE..Why wont DVI to VGA adapter work???

I have this card (8500LE 64DDR) it has VGA/DVI/TV (SVIDEO) out, but I noticed on the newegg description it says

Ports:CRT Monitor: 15-pin VGA connector,TV and VCR: s-video or composite connector DVI to VGA Adapter will not work

.

Is there anyway to run 2 CRT's without another card?

Does this card have 2 RAMDACs to serve two analog displays?
Otherwise the DVI output is DVI-D, which means digital only =>adaptor no workie, needs DVI-I (digital/analog comboport).

I guess I'll pop my PCI card in there since I can't get a flat panel yet....
