8500 video problem

I just put my new system together and for some reason I have a red outline around everything(boxes,pointer,letters,ect.), anything that go from color to white has a red thin line next to it..Ive tried diff. drivers...did a fresh install of Win2k 2x, and still have the problem...Is this the card?...Driver issue..Motherboard?....Or what..im lost:( ...its bug'n the hell out of me...Has anyone heard of this before?...games seem to be fine...just when im lookin at web pages it does this...especialy when the page has a bunch of white on the screen...im thinkin of sendin the card back and go with a geforce4...I would like to keep it and have this problem fixed since ive been with out a computer for 2 month because of bad parts(2 motherboards,2 1800xp)...so please someone help me out...THX:)

Hmmmm, funky actin' 8500, 2 bad motherboards and 2 bad CPU's?

Different drivers, different OS....

Two Guesses:

1) Bad luck combined with bad monitor?
Have you tried a different monitor? Or the card in a different box?

2) Bad Power Supply? What brand? How many watts?

I?ll go with what gregor7777 said. Check the monitor, it could be the convergence or focus is off giving you the red outline.
