I found this at X-Bit Labs. Apparantley the first 845 DDR version will have PC2100 support. The DDR Chipset market for P4 is going to get very interesting at the end of the year with 3 having PC2700 support (ALi Aladdin-P4, SiS 645 and VIA P4X333), one will have QDR support (P4X333) and one will have PC2100 support, but according to Anand have incredibly deep buffers and write cache (845D). I really think that unless Tulloch/133fsb/PC1066 delivers some amazing results next year, I have a feeling that DDR may be the platform to have for P4.

Yeah, that's the same bandwidth that P4X266 currently has. And it soulds like that 845 may be the perfect DDR chipset according to Anand.

You are probably right though. The i845 probably already supports PC2100, its just that OEMs aren't allowed to use that feature until Intel says so.
