840 Pro 128 Low scores in PCmark7

ok so im having issues with PCmark7, specifically the windows defender score mine is like 1.2 which is low. The SSD benches in drive magician at rated speed and 7.9 in windows 7. any idea why is doing so poorly in pcmark7?

Run Paragon Alignment Tool 4.0 to check if the SSD is mis-aligned, if it is mis-aligned, Paragon Alignment tool can re-align it via a reboot and the performance will increase drastically.

I check all my drives, USB sticks, and external HDDs using that tool I cannot do without it! the performance increase you get when you align a partition if it was not aligned is priceless

does it even matter sounds like a useless benchmark. If your getting 7.9/7.9 already in WEI you shouldn't be worried. How much space have you used on the SSD just curious?

well it matters because if its scoring lower than others something probably isn't right.

i thnk it has 70GB free. installed windows 7 and a game with a couple benchmarks thats it so far

Then you need to align the drive. You can use Gparted. Follow this Lifehacker guide.

completely reinstalled windows, ssd is now aligned and double checked... score still in the toilet

solution was to install Intel rapid storage technology driver, really spead up my SSD in general and my 4k speeds... very happy now

I always use slim drivers to make sure my hardware is up to date. Its free and is a good little tool.
