Largest graduating class in the history of my school. Class of 03'

How many were in your graduating class?
Any words of wisdom now that I have to enter "the real world"?

I think I might take a college class or two this summer to get ahead, I already have 6 hours of college credit so far(gov and eco). I'll also be working as computer support for a company that repairs huuuuuuuuuuge turbine rotors for chemical companies. Those things look like machines from a horror flick.

my pops keeps telling me to put 50% of my check in a savings account. that seems pretty high to me, I wash thinking 20% or something. =P

what do you guys think?

267 in mine.

Save as much as that money as you can..it will come in handy for beer and better food than the cafeteria or ramen at college.

Right now my plan is 2 years at community college and transfer to UT. Most of my friends are going to UT-austin or univ of houston. The others will be with me at LSU. (Luella and spencer university, lol those are two intersecting streets where the community college is at. it's our nickname for it, it's actually San Jacinto Community College)

I heard they are making Univ of Houston harder to get into. Can anybody confirm this? My friend's brother attends there and he said they are trying to make it better over there.

What HS did you go to? My bro just graduated from a HS in Houston. Graduation ceremony was at UH and he started UT orientation today.

Surprising San Jac huh? I'm from Houston (went to Clements) and the majority of my friends went to UT. The rest went to A&M or some other colleges around Texas. A few went out of state, like me, and I ended up at Penn State University.

Holy crap, I bet it was fun listening to all those names being called out. I'll be called out within the first 100 students so I have to sit on my ass for the remaining 700 students or so. Maybe someone will sneak in a beach ball and blow it up and throw it around during the ceremony like last year. That would be nice, although our principal got a hold of it and popped it. :frown:

minendo: I'm about 30min from houston, I attend Deer Park High school. it's next to Pasadena which is next to Houston.

xyion: I'm in the same spot you were once in, only 2 of my current friends are going out of state, one digital art designer who is going to South Carolina (because of parents or something), and the other is the girl I took to prom who is going to Penn State like you. :brokenheart:

Pasadena is not far from here at all. We are in Seabrook/Taylor Lake Village.

wow, small world minendo.

Hey xyion, how is Penn state? My friend who is going there visited it during the school year and she loves it. She says its like its own little town. Do you have any useful facts that I could tell her about penn state? Or maybe some discouraging facts about it so maybe I can convince her to stay? lol nah just kidding, I couldn't do that to someone. She wants to be a pediatrician, all I can tell her is you go girly.

900? 750? Just how big are your high schools? None of the ones around here exceed 1900 people or so(grades 9-11).

Not sure of the size of my brother's HS, but my girlfriend's school had 2400+. Another school had been built during her senior year so the numbers dropped a little afterwards.

The HS I attended my freshman year in SC had over 3500 students.
