820 D MOBO for overclocking?

If you absolutely want the best there's available right now, take this GigaByte... It comes at a price however... 🙁 The difference between this mobo (based on the i975X chipset) and any other mobo based on the i955X (which is nearly identical), is the certainty of being able to run 65nm Pentium D's...

If you decide that's nothing for you, you could take one on the i955X chipset... They're expensive as well, but not like this ah heck... Or you could wait for these to lower in price, as they're meant to replace the i955X...

Overclocking-wise this mobo is very good as well (look here, offering a plethora of speed and voltage settings, AND the TurboJet technology (which is meant to cool down in case of well, always 🙂)...

A great mobo, but a steep price as well...

wow thanks
thats a bit pricey 😵
I'll wait for these to drop in price a bit I think. Its not urgent but this Intel mobo I have has no OC'ing really I guess I'll have to run it stock 😀

Hehe, that was my feeling too... 😛 Yeah, those will become more affordable within some months... I like AMD a lot, but I do have to admit it looks very, very impressive...

Maybe there'll be alternatives on other chipsets... Via and SiS are also players in the Pentium market... We'll see how it works out...

i'm usually an AMD guy (infact this is my first since my pII 450)
I'll keep my eyes open and thanks again I have a better idea what I am looking for now
thanks again
