right now I have a BX based motherboard, using a ISA modem and an ISA soundcard..Im considering going to an 815e based, but I'm a gamer, and my ISA modem has been very good to me. My question is, since the 815e has no ISA slots, whats everyone using for a modem, and are your pings as good with it as with an ISA modem...seems to me PCI modems always used to suck..

so..what are you using?

Dill,
I'm using the Actiontec Call Waiting modem. It is a PCI hardware modem. I don't really know about ping times, but my download times and surfing seem not to be affected. I too am using an i815 based mobo and needed a PCI hardware modem that would be supported in Linux. Another possible solution would be to get an external modem.
