810 chipset sound chip problem with 98

I have windows 98 upgrade version
I have a tekram celery mobo with onboard "ac97" sound chip. Which is sufficient for my needs. Anyhow, when I downgraded from win200k to win98 upgrade version, my sound chip doesn't work. In the tekram mobo manuel it says this is a AC97 chip, but when win98 looks to set it up using plug and pray, it finds the sound chip as "sound max" and sound doesn't come out.

Use the drivers off of the CD that came w/ the motherboard, or, download them.
This should get the sound card working. here
