I was wondering what 80mm case case offers the most airflow? I know Vantec's Tornado fan offers 84 CFM, but its 38mm deep and won't fit in my current Xaser II screwless fan mounts.

also, what is the preferred direction of airflow for a window-mounted fan?

I suspect it will be a Delta. The Thermaltake "Smart" fans do have a pretty high CFM at full whack, and have the added option of you being able to turn it down e.g. if you only need that racket during gaming sessions. Hmm but doesnt like half a dozen of them come with the xasier cases anyway?

I'd assume airflow would be inwards.

are you sure you want to deal with that level of noise? its better to have several low rpm or low rpm large fans.

even if you have to cut holes.

Thermaltake Extreme Volcano 12 Adjustable Fan 80x80x32

Normal speeds 2000-5500rpm

Max CFM - 26.5 - 72.92CFM

Noise - 21db - 48db @5500rpm

I got to warn you this thing is loud as he11 when cranked up to the max. May not be move the most air, but its right up there considering its size. Best of luck to you.
