I need to know the name and/or artist. The only little bit of the song I remember is:

Frustrated
You're gettin' too frustrated
Do what you do Frustrated

I haven't heard it since in about 20 years so those may be totally wrong lyrics, but maybe someone will know.

80s music was especially rife with lyrically-crammed moments that make it impossible to hear correctly.

Yeah that is true. Sometimes even now I may look up lyrics to an 80s song and say to myself "WTF, that is what they are singing?"

Problem is he said it was 20 years ago, Avril was hanging around with her father getting scratched.


Only song with the title Frustrated from the 80's is by Too Much Joy on their album Green Eggs and Crack, but I can't find any lyrics for it.

well the lyrics on that avril lavigne song say copyright 1979.
written by Doug Fieger/Berton Averre, type that in google and they were in the Knack.

so that is probably your answer to who sings that song.
