I didn't like the 80s when I was there, and they haven't improved with age.

The only good things from the 80's were Michael Jackson and Metallica. I'm more into 90's stuff.

The only good things from the 80's were Michael Jackson The Eurythmics and Metallica something else I'll think of later. The 90's were even worse.

So, after watching Miley twerking and Youtube boobs covers, I has a sad. I needed something good to mend the hole in my soul, and restore my faith in humanity. I strayed away to a magical section of Youtube where wondrous hair bands roamed, and all is good again. :awe:

I'm pretty sure your parents felt the exact same way back in the 80's (not that twerking doesn't make me facepalm).

I will say this for the 80's though, it gave us a shitload of great stripper songs...

Remember when every hair band had to put a ballad on their album?

It was glam-rock code of law.

RUN DMC, The Fat Boys, The Beastie Boys, 10 cent packs of Now-N-Laters, break dancing & arcades absolutely kicked ass. The 80's were the shit just based off the arcades alone.

Watch Fast Times At Ridgemont High and tell me the 80's sucked.

I didn't really like the 80's..... but the culture then is a hell of a lot better than it is now.

Death is probably my favorite band from the 80s. It's really shitty that Cancer fvcked Chuck so bad.

That said, Iron maiden was great for much of the 80s.

The cheesiest band though, is probably Manowar (The Album Battle Hymns is perfect, hahaha.)

I like a lot of the old new wave hits and the Cure and Pixies did a lot of their best stuff during the 80s. It was a strange decade but I was only a child during it so my feelings about it are to rose-colored for me to judge it accurately.

Some 80s fashions were awful though. The men's suits, women with shoulder pads, big hair, etc. But I came from the generation where everyone sagged their pants and thought it was a good idea so it is always unwise for me to consider throwing stones from that glass house.

You have to admit it was an improvement over the last half of the seventies. And the first half too, for that matter.

Improvement? I'll go with different to some degree, but I don't know about improvement.
