Only ones that you listed I like are R.E.M. and U2. Personally I think most 80's music sucks. Punk sucks even more. Actaully all new music sucks except for Incubus and Velvet revolver which I just dudes from older bands. I am 17 and listen to pearl jam DMB, Led Zeppelin, Neil Young, Green Day, and Phish. Don't disgrace Green Day and tell me they are punk.

Oh, and I liked Green Day when they first came out in the early 90's and think they're still cool now.

Oh, and yes, Green Day is SO punk. I'd classify them as kind of a post-modern punk. But punk nonetheless.
