Currently I am running the OCZ Goliath SE. However, I just bought the AX-7 heatsink to
see if I can cool the CPU down maybe a couple of degrees C lower.

Now I want to hear if I should keep the 80mm fan that is currently on my OCZ and place
it onto the AX-7? Also I thought of the idea of placing a 80mm to 120mm fan adapter.

Check It Out Here!!!!

I think this is pretty cool! Also, Which 120mm QUIET, QUIET, QUIET, QUIET
fan would you recommend? Right now the queitness of the OCZ 80mm fan is
perfect. No high pitch noises at all!

LMK!

However, I don't think going from an 80mm fan to an 120mm fan will make
a difference in cooling. It is negligable as it is going from 60mm to 80mm.
Although an extra 40mm would cover the area of the heatsink much better. I
really don't know. Although I may try one out to see if it cools very well. Also
I want a really quiet fan. The OCZ Goliath SE that I have right now is perfect
in terms of sound! Whisper quiet!

The only advantage I see in using a 120 over an 80 is you might be able to find a 120 that pulls as much air as the 80 but with lower noise.

if you try the 120mm, please keep us posted! this could really drop the noise a few dB and make the <30 difference :)

bigger fans blowing onto the heatsink w/ adapters generally makes it worse or the same, but quieter...but when they blow away from the heatsink it showed some improved temps in a review i saw (but it wasnt the ax-7).
