I need suggestions for 80mm fans on another computer in the house. It's quite loud as it is, and the noise seems to be coming from the fans/PSU.
Specs:
STOCK Intel Pentium 4 3.0GHz Northwood Core
Intel D875PBZ Motherboard
4*512mb Kingston DDR400
2*120GB Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM SATA drives
GeForce FX5200 128mb
Antec Performance Plus SX-1040B Server case
2*80mm Antec case fans
Antec 400W Smartpower PSU
As the computer is stock to the bone, I don't think its cooling needs are all that great, and the Northwood core processor runs cool (compared to Prescotts). So I'm thinking a couple of quiet 80mms to replace the stock Antec fans would solve the noise problem, no?
Any suggestions on what 80mm fans to buy? It isn't my computer, so modding is out of the question. I'm looking at AC, Nexus, and Panaflo right now.
