802.11b? yea, wireless is really nice. works great if you have it all around you. if not then you could possibly walk too far and get disconnected.

I went out in the backyard down by the lake and still getting 11mb connection. :)

The Orinoco card is much better than my Dlink, btw. Dlink has about half the range and won't do encryption at all. But this Orinoco is as good as the Aironet I used when I worked at Enron :)

The card cost me $63 after coupon from overstock.com (new customers). The Linksys AP cost $250 when we bought it a couple of months ago, at Axiontech, and my sister paid for it. She was the one that originally wanted the wireless for her laptop, so all I had to spring for was my card.

Sweet. I got my SMC barricade wireless router and SMC pcmcia wireless NIC a couple weeks ago.

I got a 160 k/ sec download while walking down 2 flights of stairs. hehehhe :)
