802.11b Wireless Access Point, USB NIC, and PCCard NIC

Is there a standout brand of 802.11b wireless network access point, USB network interface adapter, and PCcard network adapters. I'm mainly interested in ease of setup and rock solid reliability and performance. I don't necessarily need the cheapest.

It seems everyone is making this stuff these days, Intel, SMC, D-Link, Lucent Orinoco, Syslink, 3Com, and on and on.

Do any of them have it dead right?

Thanks.

John

I am using combo of SMC Wireless Barricade, D-Link USB Card, and Orinoco PMCIA.

Easy config works well. Distance is a problem, I get only fraction of what the manufactures claim, it is highly dependable on position, wall, etc. Works well within surroundings of 80? in radius.

I'm using combo of SMC Barricade wireless, Lucent Orinoco Wireless PCMCIA, and 3Com PCI cards -- can't help you on the USB -- and my setup works great. The speeds off the wireless are incredible. I've never seen below the full connectivity of the wireless (11Mbps) inside my house.
