802.11b router and WAP won't work together

I'm trying to get a WAP and a router to talk to each other. Both are 802.11b and have good LOS (distance is about 75-100 feet).

The WAP is a Netgear ME102 802.11b Wireless Access Point.
The router is a CompUSA 295106 11mbps Router.

My network is set up thusly:
cable modem > wired router (Siemens 2602) > switch > WAP ... wireless router > computer

I tested all the cables and the computers connected directly to the switch get internet access just fine. The system on the wireless router can't bring up web sites though. Any ideas? I've heard there's issues getting certain WAPs to talk to each other... don't know if that matters. I'm pretty good with wired network stuff, but unfamiliar with most wireless things.

Also, I can't seem to find any manuals online for the CompUSA router, so if anyone has a PDF link or something, please post it or PM me.
TIA

Okay, nevermind. I just spent 32 minutes on hold with Netgear tech support for nice Indian fellow to inform me that the ME102 will not talk to routers wirelessly. Arrrrrghhhhh.

Anyone want to buy a CUSA 802.11b 4-port router? 🙂
