802.11a/b/g cards that are compatible with knoppix

Does anyone know of any a/b/g cards that are compatible with knoppix?

Or maybe a hardware compatibility site?

My dell laptop's wireless card isn't supported 🙁

Knoppix is just a Linux distribution. With that in mind, the Atheros AR5212 in my Thinkpad is well-supported via a 3rd party open source driver (Madwifi). Maybe some day it'll be integrated into the main kernel tree. It works very well for b/g. I can't test 802.11a.

I have some coworkers who apparently have 2200-based cards who are using them with Linux though I have no firsthand experience with those.

edited for clarifications
