800x600 Resolution In XP

Someone I know changed the resolution on their XP Pro machine from 1024x768 to 800x600 because they were having trouble reading the text on their 15" LCD screen(1024x768 native res). Now every time XP starts they get a message saying they should increase their resolution. Is there any way to tell XP not to display that warning message?
 
if the native resolution is 1024x768, wouldn't 800x600 be even harder to read? I think it would work better to tell windows to use larger fonts...
