get this ram instead:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...x?Item=N82E16820231145
DDR2-1000, relatively cheap.

The DDR2-800 all rely on overvolting to achive their standard operation, leaving you with loosened timing or no headroom. the 1000 and 1066 can achive those rated speeds with over volting. Or they can maintain good timing and normal voltage (1.8v) in DDR2-800 speeds.
you should be able to lower the ram multiplier from the default of 2.4 to 2.0 (gigabyte uses a ram multiplier, others use a ratio, none of them use it correctly. DDR2 = DDR to the power of 2, they use DDR1 as a base, which makes little sense, you should either use the non DDR speed as a base or the DDR2 speed, but whatever)

This means that an OCing your FSB from 333 (default) up to 400fsb will leave you with ram @ 800mhz speed.

Considering nehalem is coming real soon, are you sure about buying a 350$ Q9450 instead of the 185$ Q6600?

the second CPU linked is actually a PSU, not a CPU.
I can't help you with PSU, since I only did the research on 500watt psus and from those I chose the earthwatts, but earthwatts doesn't go over 500watt. So, sorry.

can't go wrong with an ASUS mobo.

why did you link the HDD from amazon? it is the same exact drive only for 25$ more then in newegg.

They have a 650W EarthWatts PSU now, it's made by Delta. I picked up two of them at Microcenter when they were $70, now they are $100 at MC.

i cant go more than 3.2ghz, with a DDR2 800mhz?

Also i think that if i put more ram i will get a Higher Speed so you think 8gb os a bit OVERKILL?

And beyond if you keep it within the limits of voltages and temps. :)

Hypothetically, if you were to get 9x400= 3600 OC,
Ram ratio at 1:1, DDR2 @ 800Mhz (pc6400) 400x2 = 800Mhz,
Or cpu multi @ 8x450 = 3600 OC
DDR2 @ 800Mhz (pc6400) 450x2 = 900Mhz <-----Your ram would be over clocked. And some memory can't take this big of an oc.

If you set the FSB to whatever and times that by 2, with the ratio @ 1:1, this would be the speed of your ram. As taltamir has stated, getting 1000Mhz ram, gives more headroom to OC. But with a 1066 chip (Q6600), which is 9x 266 = 2400Mhz, 266 is quad pumped, 266 x 4 = 1066. you have a bit of headroom with 800Mhz ram. Getting past 3.6 with air and with the Q6600 will probably be the limit. :)

if it is made by delta then it is a completely different PSU... the earthwatts 500watt is a seasonic S12 if I am not mistaken, one of the best PSUs on the market.

Antec moved their Earthwatts line over to Delta. The only version of the EA650 is made by Delta. Other Earthwatts models are EAxxx if they're Seasonic-built and EAxxxD if they're manufactured by Delta.

I don't know whether Seasonic still builds any of them or not, but there are currently models from both companies out there.
