hi, im upgrading from a P2 400 to a P3 800 mhz, what i need to know is, will i need a new motherboard? i have an ASUS P2B-S... i also have a 256meg ECC IBM simm. 100hz bus speed i guess.
will i need a new motherboard/ram?
thanx!

If you want an P3-800, make sure you get the P3-800 and not the P3-800EB, which uses a 133MHz bus speed which is flaky on older BX boards like the P2B. Also, check Asustek's website for BIOS updates, and see if the newest BIOSes support the P3-800. If it does, then you're ok with the P2B.
