800Mbits of bandwidth using port trunking on an SMC switch?

I was looking through the manual sheet(pdf) for the SMC EZ1024DT switch on SMC's site. In it it states that you can have 800 mega bits per second if you use the port trunking feature. That is tying two ports together to connect to an identical switch. 800 mega bits per second seems kinda high. Is this true or is it a marketing gimmick?

The trunking they show is with a total of four ports. Since each port is 200Mbps (100 full duplex), 4x200=800Mbps. You can't get more than 100Mbps on one connection in one direction, but between the swtiches, yes there is 800 Mbps. Looks like, from their pdf, you could have just two ports trunking for 400Mbps if you wanted also. Good stuff.
