Hi all!!
I checked out some benches here at Anand's and atleast for my use (gaming mostly), I think the performance enhancement is negligible between 533 and 800 fsb. Is the price premium really worth it. And what ram is the 533 fsb processor coupled with best, 266/333/400 ? I guess if I do get a 800 processor, it would be a waste if I dont get some 400 mhz ram. Is kingston a good brand?
Thanx in advance.

The gaming benchmarks in our Pentium 4 3.0C review show between 3-10% increase in performance, which is still a good increase.

The 800MHz FSB processors also feature HyperThreading, which can significantly boost performance. The price premium is definitely worth it for HT technology.

If you purchase a 533MHz FSB processor, the optimal configuration is dual channel PC2700 (DDR 333) RAM.

Kingston is one of the best brands available.
