800 vs. 1000 HT link

i tried 1000ht bus for a few days, no real difference that i could tell in games or in general use.

I have both the new 3400 939 and the 3500 939 and can't tell any difference. If anything the 3400 is faster, but it also has the newwer install of XP

the 3500+ doesnt run off 2000ht, or 1000ht each way. socket 939 supports an ht of that high, but the cpu's currently dont have it.

I'm pretty sure there is no difference between 800MHz and 1000MHz. I think it's similar to SATA where the maximum bandwidth possible is higher, but actual throughput isn't actually near those levels. I don't remember exactly though.

No a 1000 (2000) would be a decent increase, otherwise there would be no reason to OC it.

No I feel strongly that you are wrong, Read anandtechs article on the subject. They said that one of the differences in the 939 vs the 754 was the HT being 1000 instead of 800. Third paragraph.
