Hey all,

Today i received a few parts for a system i am builing. This has allowed me to switch out some parts to an older system. Anyhow, i was kinda suprised when i ran 3dmark 2k1 SE with my 800 EB 256 ram and 8500 (128 meg).

It scored 3800... Granted this is on a 800 i was a bit stunned i did not realize the CPU could actually choke it that much at 800mhz...

Any how on my 1.4 with a Geforce 3 (64) i scored about 7400... Never thought it could cut it in half...

Guess it did...

Was just wondering and ranting...

:D

I got my new 9500 Pro to throw in the Athlon system, but my motherboard went down the tubes due to a power surge...

:(

Thanks guys!

Most are getting about 6000... Please help me with this dumb VIA install...

Was just reading the FAQs... Andy says that 2x to 4x could add as much as 30%... 30 percent of 4300 is another 1200 or so...

so i am guessing 5500 with only 256 megs would constitute as decent?

I dunno...

Even for an PIII 800EB that score does seem a bit low.... my old PIII 866 at stock clock speed w/a GF2 Ti marginally overclocked did better then 3800.

TV-OUT is disabled, these are with stock drivers off the Saphire CD however...

Let me try the chipset driver and see...

This is also on AGP 2x, which hinders some but i would not think that much....

To tell you the truth, i am not sure which motherboard this is anyhow. I do know however its and Apollo Pro 133 chipset...

I need a little bit of guidence here... Im going to try out the 4->1's and see if everything is a go.

PIII 800 doesn't seem that old until you realize that now you can get a CPU with 800 MHz FSB!

Ran 3dmark again, No good.. same score....

Any help?

Ran regedit and searched "VIA 4 in 1 driver" no results... I can't seem to get them installed,

Anyhow, i got the new ATI drivers and it boosted me from 3800 to 4300...

That 4 in 1 is def. holding me back..

Lil help please!

:D

Thanks a lot.

bump...

I downloaded sp3 and all the updates at windows update... Still hovering at 4,300...

When i install the 4 in 1's it seems that they are installing because if i go to run it again, it shows two options, one to install the specific driver, or two, unistall.

How the hell do i check and see if they are on my system... There is no way i should be this low...

ROFL!:p It's not a true 800MHz speed, only 200MHz x 4 pipe lines.
