How far has anyone gotten the pIII 800 starting at 100 FSB? considering buying one, but not sure what clock speed to start at...

thanks in adv

Start at default clock ratio (x8 in your case) with the FSB at 100 and then only work your clock ratio up in the smallest increments possible. When you've reach the limit of stability (ie ability to post) take it back a step to a stable ratio and then repeat the procedure for the FSB leaving the CPU clock ratio at the highest stable ratio.

MGRook,

I thought you can't change the mulitplier on a P-III unless it's a very special model (engineering sample or so) ?!!
