Wow, I remember posting about this...I guess my beautifully and painstakingly detailed message was lost. Doh!
At any rate, I had said that this player does have a lot of problems with the DVD Drive currently in it, so if you replace it (as the previous poster states) it would be a fine player.
Of course, I feel that if something doesn't work right out of the box, it should be avoided. $139 plus the cost of a DVD Drive (what, $75 or so?) it's no longer a good deal. Not to mention you have to find a drive that will take the front cover of the old one so it works ok.
Then again, if loopholes are important to you...well...go for it?
