I was considering going intel from amd, but my budget only allows me to get the 2.4@533.. is that even a worthwhile upgrade? or should I wait for the 2.4cs to come down in price?

There is only a $25 difference. Just save for a bit more

There is a 40 dollar difference and you also have to consider another 30 dollar difference in ram price.
That makes a 70 dollar difference.

You can use the same ram, pc2700 works at 800fsb using a 5:4 memory ratio with most or all 865pe/875pe motherboards.

Retail 2.4 533fsb $161 at Newegg
Retail 2.4 800fsb $190 at Googlegear

Those are the prices I've found, any better deals ?

what would be the point of using a 333 ram on a 800fsb. It would make more sense to put in 400mhz ram to maximize your performance.
