I was contemplating whether i should put a 80cfm Delta Fan on my Alpha8045....i've read that they are 52 dba's, but i already have 6 case fans, 2 psu fans, the Northbridge fan, HSF, and a fan on the vid card i'm receiving (in transit). I also have a obtrusively loud air filter in my room, so any additional dba's won't bother me....

Are any of you hardcore OC'er using this fan? What temps are you getting? In all honesty, how loud is the sucker? What type of temp differences will i get upgrading from a 46.1 CFM fan?

What do ya guys think?

with all that other crap, i cant see how its worth the hassle to do...but hell if you dont have anything else to spend the money on, go for it. my soon to be 200 Mhz OC feels puny and insignificant compared to what you must be doing.

The 60mm black label is often referred to as a blowdryer...I think you could liken that bad boy to a jet engine turbine. Its that loud. Not worth it IMO. You can hear it compared to other fans here:

GOOD LORD, that thing is loud! I don't know how i can tolerate that sound, but i've seen the fan for $15 so i don't think it's overly expensive, but i don't know if i could deal with a jetliner taking off in my room...i wonder if there is a way to drown out that high pitched whine.....

You could get one of those large gymnasium floor fans... in your room :D You had better secure every single piece of paper in your room... and your cat/dog!
