8" Turkey/Roast Beef/Ham sandwich $2.50 @ local supermarket

It's 2 slices of each meat plus your choice of cheese + fixings.

And the meat is sliced fresh from Boars head brand, so they're big slices.

Is this a loss leader to bring people into the store?

That sounds good. I grab a big foot long of eiher honey ham/turkey & Finlandia swiss for $5.49, & I think that's a great deal, except for the shredded lettuce. Easily weighs in over 2lbs. 🙂

So the miniscule amount of ingredients (think oz/portions) is equal to $2.50? Doubt it. If you take into account cost to the supermarket vs what you pay. Probably not a very big profit on the sandwich, but I wouldn't call it a "loss leader".
