We had a freak 15 minute storm yesterday and 8 trees in my neighborhood were down by the time it was over. My neighborhood is only about 1/8 of a square mile. My parents live about a mile away and one of their trees came down, and their next-door neighbor's tree fell onto a car parked in my parents driveway. Crazy stuff. These are not little trees either... we're talking full shade trees 50'+ tall.
