8 pin mobo socket vs 4 pin connector

Its been a few years since I've built a rig, but I'm using a ZOTAC N73PV-Supreme LGA 775 microATX board with an OCZ600SXS PS. I've going it to the point where I want to connect the power, but was surprised to see an 8 pin / 12 V connector where previously I'd seen 4 pin connectors.

Now the PS has a 4 pin connector tied to the the 20 pin ATX connector and two other 4 pin connectors labeled CPU1 and CPU2. There's also a couple of 6 pin connectors labeled PCI-E1 and PCI-E2, but I'd guess those are for powering power hungry graphics cards.

So the question is this: Can I power the mobo with this power source or do I need to find at PS that provides an 8 pin connector?

I ran mine both ways. I've used the 4pin AUX 12v in an 8 pin mobo and an 8 pin AUX 12v in a 4 pin mobo and it worked fine either way.

The two 4 pin CPU connectors should snap together to fil the 8 slots just like the 20+4pin for motherboard power
