I took a special picture for ATOT.

Yes, this is cross posted in General Hardware as well.
---------------------
All monitors are HP, 20" LCD, 1600x1200. I put them in portrait format because of space constraints on the wall I'm mounting them on.

The actual use for this is network monitoring. I am the network manager with about 30+ routers, 500+ switches and over 5000+ desktop hosts with approximately 50 servers, so this is going to provide me a comprehensive dashboard for all of my network hardware and enviornmental monitoring equipment. Our server folks were allocated 4 monitors for their various critical servers (Exchange, etc.).

Oh, it's all running off of a Dell Optiplex GX270 with a 2.6 Ghz P4, 1GB RAM. The video cards are as follows:

1 Radeon 9600 AGP, 256MB RAM
3 Radeon 9250 PCI, 256MB RAM

Naturally, half the monitors are running DVI and the other half are VGA, all set to native 1600x1200.

EDIT: Oh yeah, that bitch John Travolta only had 7 monitors in Swordfish, I've got 8! It was originally going to be 12, but I gave four to our server section.

how do you set up a computer with 8 monitors

Probably with 3 dual dvi pci cards (ala radeon 9200?) and a random dual dvi agp card.

or, dual PCI-e dual dvi cards and 2 dual dvi pci cards.

Yeah, i have to say that because you used all identical monitors, it looks much classier than some of the multimonitor setups i've seen out there.
