8 Mile's a real good movie

I'll be about a mile from where he grew up...couple of my friends live right by 8 Mile and I drive by 8mile probably 4-5 times a week.....but it's still a good movie

I agree, good movie. I hate Detroit though. The city is pretty well renditioned in 8 Mile, Four Brothers, Judgement Night, etc....any movie that shows it as a completely hopeless, downtrodden, depressing, crime ridden pile of scrap, trash and abandoned warehouses....And good lord they can't maintain their roads for shyte.

<--- born in and spent many formative years in Detroit.

Well its getting better, well at least downtown detroit is much more lively. Otherwise still alot of hopelessness and crap. Roads are still crap. But it is getting better. Having good sports teams helps. Gets businesses money and people downtown.

But gotta get that assfvck mayor outta office!

it bad when you are driving down jefferson. Your in grosse pointe seeing all these nice big expensive houses. then you cross the border from grosse pointe to detroit. Everything is junk, abandaon houses, and etc.
