8 Mile <SPOILER FREE>

It could have been minus the 5 minute quickie scene. That was pretty stupid and pointless.

But yeah, I had doubts going in, but I thought it was pretty good.

I think the whole point of the quickie scene was to show how stupid his stupid life was. Yeah, good movie. I took my kid to see it, figured I'd doze or play games on my cell phone, and got surprised.
 
Am I the only one that didn't like it as much as I thought I would? It wasn't like I expected, blame the trailers.

The guy had a fight every 10 minutes or so. I walked out feeling ripped off. What a crappy effort that movie was. The soundtrack was weak, the acting was weak, the plot was weak. Yet it made so much money because of Eminem.
 
Brittany Murphy does a good job of walking around with an f'me face the whole film.
