i'd say RAM. sometimes RAM issues become noticeable only when you reinstall windows.

other things to check:

1. reseat EVERYTHING in your computer, or just make sure that everything is firmly in place.

2. make sure your CD isn't scratched or something. it could be a bad CD.

Good luck :thumbsup:

memtest86 is king amoung all software

Albeit hard to use for novices. (With boot disk and all)

Hah. There's this poster in the IT guys office here and its this lady saying "I know you told me not to click on ... Bu I did anyway".

It like when my sister checked her email on my computer once, and I got an email spewing virus for about 2 minutes. She then did it a second time. THEN, when she uses my computer now, she reads popups and ads like they are real.

Her: "All I have to do is shoot the money and I win $2500!"
ME: "Noooooooooooooooooooo!"

1. Failing PSU { borrow one }
2. Hard drive { Buy a new one or borrow one or try a smart utility and see what it says }
3. Memory { memtest86 }
4. Motherboard { hmmm? }

PS: Never upgrade a Bios if the system is running rock solid.
