8+ Button Mouse: Certain Shape

I've owned about 7 different types of mice, and I'm just picky about the shape. The only type I like at all are shaped like the SteelSeries 62100 or the Diablo III

I hate the Razor, and stout shaped mice like the Logitech G300. I've tried just about every common shape, and I'm just looking for one like the old standard IBM series but with many buttons.

DPI doesn't really matter to me. I can't tell the difference between 1600 and 5000. It needs to wired, as my motherboard lacks bluetooth.

Cheaper is a plus. But I want something that will last a few years. Preferably a two year or three year warranty(I don't mind spending an extra $15-20 to get one).

Try the Saitek Cyborg R.A.T. 7. I have it and love it. There would be no way you wouldn't like the feel of it since it's completely customizable with extra pieces to interchange to your feel and hand size. I'm pretty sure it has 8 buttons as well as the ability to convert to 3 different button configurations that you can program into it.

Unfortunately the R.A.T. has 7(as the name implies), and one of them is a clickable scroll wheel.
I'd really prefer 10, but 8 is an absolute bare minimum. I have 6 right now and I keep wasting sp on overpowered heals.

I thought I'd settle for 8 if need be, because I saw my number of results on Newegg drop by 2/3 when I went from 8 to 10 on the filter.

Man I really don't know where the heck you would find a mouse that would be any good with more buttons than the R.A.T. 7.

I suppose the R.A.T. 7 has 21 buttons then really since you can hit the cyborg button and change your programmable layout to a whole new set of 7 three different times.

The R.A.T. is one of the most horrendous looking mice I have seen. And just because it is "fully" customizable, doesnt mean you can make it fit your hand.

If you dont mind game logos on your mouse then the Steelseries Cata mouse is very nice, it has 14 buttons and is good for bigger hands. Or you could wait until they release the legendary edition, they lowered the buttons to 11 but kinda rearranged the ones on the side. I prefer the layout of the cata mouse but its all about preference.

Let me know if what else turns up in your searches.

Take it from someone who actually owns a R.A.T. 7...

It is the most comfortable mouse I have ever had. It's not ment to be hung on the wall and looked at. It's built for function and it does that better than any mouse I have ever used or owned. When I first grasped it it felt awlkward but once I changed the shape of it a little bit it soon became part of my hand and I wouldn't even consider any other mouse.
I suppose if you have a physical deformity or injury to your hand you would be right in saying you cant make it fit your hand but as long as your hand is fully intact... Yes you most certinly can customize it to suit your comfort needs.
